Job Description:
Hire Resolves client, a well-established mining company in the Northern Cape, is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager (HOD) to oversee their engineering function and drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure optimum performance and achievements of departmental goals.
Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company’s long-term goals objectives.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
Monitor and control engineering budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Conduct regular audits assessment of engineering processes and systems.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering department.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management regarding engineering perfomance and progress on strategic initiatives.
Document maintenance and repair work in accordance with company policies.
Collaborate with other team members to optimise equipment perfomance and reduce downtime.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
GCC Mines and Works
MSc, MDA, MDP or related qualification
10 years experience in engineering role within a mining a plant environment.
Project Management experience
Valid Driver’s License
