Job Title: Manager: Parts
Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager: Parts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our parts department, including inventory management, ordering, pricing, and customer service. The succesful candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role and posses strong leadership and communication skills. An experienced parts proffesional sought, who can provide excellent customer service, motivate staff, control cost and maintain high levels of sales on an ongoing basis.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to optimise parts department operations and increase profitability.
Manage inventory levels and ensure adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
Oversee the ordering and procurement process, negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing.
Monitor and assess sales perfomance, identifying trends and opportunities for growth.
Provide guidance and support to parts department staff, ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to success.
Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or issues in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency.
Stay up to date on industry trends and developments, recommending new products or services to enhance our offering.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Business Administration or a related field
5+ years experience in a parts management role, preferably within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
Atleast 24 months managerial experience in a VW or Audi parts
A strong awareness of the absolute necessity of good customer relations
The ability to work under pressure and motivate staff
High Certificate and/or advanced National (Vocational) Certificate with NQF Level
Strong analytic skills and the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of motivating and mentoring a team
Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications
Familiarity with industry best practices and regulations
Detailed-oriented and organised, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
